Well, if you’re in the Chesterton area, you’re in luck, as there are numerous options available when it comes to unique and exciting foods. How many of these one-of-a-kind foods in Chesterton have you had?

  1. Unique Food and Drink Options at Volstead

Volstead, which is located in Chesterton, specializes in serving up cocktails and menu items with an artistic flair. Each item on the menu is artfully prepared and served in a manner that respects the dish. The restaurant keeps four different types of ice in stock, ready for whichever cocktail you might order. Since different ices melt differently, they affect each drink differently. The owners feel that each drink should be crafted to perfection, and that includes the ice. The restaurant is named after the Volstead Act, which prohibited the manufacture or distribution of intoxicating beverages.

A special level of detail goes into a dish’s ingredients and flavor combinations. For example, the restaurant makes its own bacon to ensure that the utmost quality and consistency is maintained. The chefs aren’t afraid to play with unique flavor combos either. You can get duck that’s served with a white chocolate jus. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. It’s amazing.

The Relaunch of the 2019 Ford Ranger

Grey 2019 Ford Ranger on the beach | Ford Dealer | Chesterton, INThe Ford Ranger was once the midsize alternative to the F-150 full-size pickup truck, but Ford stopped selling new models in the United States in 2011. However, as of 2019, the Ranger is back with a fresh generation, and it’s here to let truck buyers know what America’s best-selling truck company can do in the midsize market. After all, Ford has built this all-new Ranger model on 100 years of truck designing experience.

Engine Power

One of the highlights of the 2019 Ford Ranger is the power you get from its engine. You only get one engine option, but the 2.3-liter I-4 uses a turbocharger to give you 270 horsepower and a potent 310 pound-feet of torque. Combined with the solid body-on-frame design, a Ranger equipped with this engine can tow up to 7,500 pounds or carry up to 1,860 pounds in the bed. That makes it one of the best midsize pickup trucks for towing and hauling, even though the light engine and partial-aluminum frame cut down on fuel use.

Off-Road Features

Like you’d expect from any pickup truck, the 2019 Ranger comes with a 2×4 or 4×4 drivetrain. However, that’s just the first of its off-road features. If you opt for the FX4 Off-Road Package, you get off-road shocks, all-terrain tires with deep treads for optimal surface traction, and an electronic locking rear differential that keeps both rear wheels moving at the same speed. You also get skid plates that protect the undercarriage and interior off-road controls like the Terrain Management System and the Trail Control feature.

The 2019 Ford Fusion – A Top Selling Sedan for 2018

2019 Ford Fusion | Ford Dealer | Burns Harbor, INThe Ford Fusion is a solid entry into the midsize class. It’s a family sedan with more space than you’d expect from its size, both in the cabin and in the trunk. It also handles well, making it easy to control for new drivers and old hands alike, and the technology features are simple to use and very convenient. It’s plain to see why the Fusion was a top-selling model in 2018 and will continue to do the same in 2019.

Plenty of Room

Midsize sedans, like the 2019 Fusion, have more space to spare than a compact but less space than a full-size model, such as the Taurus. However, the Fusion has additional room than you’d expect from the class, including 38.3 inches of back row legroom, 102.8 cubic feet of passenger space, and a trunk with up to 16 cubic feet to spare. The trunk size goes down on the hybrids and plug-in hybrid models thanks to the large batteries they use, but that still leaves you with a decent capacity for suitcases or groceries.

Six Engine Choices

Between the regular engines and hybrid options, the 2019 Fusion has plenty of ways to get you moving. The starting engine gives you 175 horsepower with normal aspiration, and the other three engines are EcoBoost models that use turbochargers to generate 181, 245, and 325 horsepower with just four or six cylinders. Then there are the hybrid trims and Energi trim, which use 2.0-liter engines and electric motors to get 188 net horsepower. They also get over 40 mpg whether you’re driving in the city or on the highway.
