1. Chesterton Art
Unlock your creative side at Chesterton Art at 115 S. Fourth St. You’re invited to the Friday Morning Watercolor class on July 26, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon. This class offers instruction in a variety of watercolor techniques and is the ideal class for the first-time painter — and it’s also a fantastic refresher course.
Learn the time-honored art of copper foil at the beginner’s stained glass class hosted on July 23, 2019, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., or sign up the kids for Kids Clay Camp at the Center starting July 8. Clay Camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. and is best for kids aged 6 to 12. Campers create three air-dried clay projects and a clay stamp printing project with watercolors.

Join a fine art degreed instructor from noon to 4 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays, to paint a pot. Walk-ins are welcome at the class, where you’ll choose a ceramic piece to paint, decorate, and then glaze.
This open studio offers lessons in both wheel-throwing and hand-building, and class fees include everything from the clay, glaze, tools, and equipment to protective aprons. No experience is required to make a fun and decorative pot.
